2026 में वर्णित Erhaia dijiang अक्टूबर में science reports के कारण फिर चर्चा में आया। यह China से documented पहली freshwater cave snail बताई गई है। Original taxonomic paper May 2026 में प्रकाशित हुआ था—इसे October में नई discovery date समझना ठीक नहीं होगा।

स्थान और संरक्षण
Species Yuxi City, Yunnan की high-altitude limestone cave (लगभग 2,062 m) से ज्ञात है। field work में केवल तीन living adults और एक empty shell मिले, इसलिए अत्यंत restricted population habitat disturbance के प्रति संवेदनशील हो सकती है।
